There is still plenty of funding available for home
improvements for people income eligible. The Town of Williamson was
awarded a “HOME” grant for $400,000 for housing rehabilitation by the
NYS Division of Housing and Community Renewal and a second grant by the
State Affordable Housing Corporation which provides matching funds for
the HOME grant. Together the grants provide financial assistance
for home repairs for income eligible Williamson residents for
owner/occupied housing. In most cases there will be no cost to
the applicant.
Contact Project Manager Dee Frey at the Town complex
for information and/or an application either by stopping by the office,
calling her at 589-8211 or via email at dfrey@pathstone.org. Assistance with the grant application is available during day or evening hours.
